CALL FOR MINIATURE ART
The Plymouth Guild for the Arts is
calling for miniature art works -- 5x7" or 8x10" -- to be
donated for a fundraiser in support of the Plymouth Center for
the Arts. The miniature works will be sold/raffled off during
the Guild's May 16th gala event, Hats Off to the Arts. Works
from all media are eligible, as long as they fit the size
requirement!
Artwork does not need to framed or matted, presentation will be
handled by the Guild.
Miniature art work will be exhibited during the Hat's Off Gala
event and will remain on display for 2 weeks in a special
gallery at the Plymouth Center for the Arts. Work to be
submitted should be brought to the Plymouth Center for the Arts,
11 North Street, Plymouth MA. Deadline for submitting work is
Monday May 12th, 2008. For complete entry guidelines go to the
Plymouth Guild's website, www.plymouthguild.org or call the
Guild at 508-746-7222.

PLYMOUTH – THEME SHOW
We expect hundreds of people to attend the Hats
Off gala and view works on display throughout the Center during
the spring. One room in The Lindens will hold artwork with a
Plymouth theme.
Artists may submit one piece of work for this special show. $10
entry fee; 30% commission.
· Drop off Saturday, May 3, 10AM-4PM and/or
· Sunday, May 4, noon – 4 PM.
· Pick up Saturday, May 31, 10-2 or
· Sunday, June 1, noon-2 PM.

NOTE:
Guild will charge $5.00 per piece
handling fee for any work not claimed at pick up time, $10 after
30 days, and after 60 days unclaimed work becomes property of
the Guild. Only Art
Guild personnel will be able to release work.
Announcements
The Plymouth Guild, after 40 years, has secured,
and now owns and operates, a permanent home. The Guild's Plymouth Center
for the is located at 11 North Street, just steps from museums, the historic waterfront and downtown.
Perfectly located, the Center attracts not only local patrons,
but visitors from all over the world.
Our members’ gallery is already open. Adult and children’s art,
music and theater programming are underway. In addition, we provide
meeting rooms and a small performance space for other culturally
oriented non-profit organizations. Although we have a long way to go
with fundraising to renovate and make the remainder of our buildings
accessible, the downstairs portion of the building is already
operational.
Our newest venture is the Russell Gallery featuring artwork by the
Guild Signature Artists at the Plymouth Center for
the Arts. This gallery is a permanent feature at the Center, be
open year round, and have high quality, rotating exhibitions.
