About the Artist: I was born in Newton Highlands and grew up with 7 siblings. Three older brothers became professional artists in various fields. As a young student, I spent every day teaching myself until my oldest brother returned from South America where he used photography and watercolor in his profession in Peru. I then went to the Art Institute in Boston with him, from their he taught me, as we worked together in Newton. At the age of 27 I moved to Plymouth, where I painted in oil, chalk pastel and oil pastel. I am self taught and have been in many small shows along the Cape, Berkshires, and Plymouth. I have spent all of my life traveling and living outdoors studying wildlife and the Earth's beauty. Everything I look at is art and cannot be made exact.
