About the Artist:
Painting is first and foremost about seeing.
My goal is to get you to do just that. To see any subject as a very
definite set of shapes of color, light and shadow.
Have you been frustrated by “making mud” rather than lively, vibrant
color? I will show you a method of using watercolor paints that will
eliminate muddy, dead paintings forever. Whether you are an
experienced beginner or more advanced painter – there is magic in
this medium to be discovered.
Ms. Jonas is an award winning watercolorist who paints and exhibits
in the USA and Mexico. She has won 1st Prize and “Best of Show” in
prestigious art shows, recently (2005) winning first prize in
watercolor in the “Plymouth Art Guild 38th Annual Art Show” and in
2006 first prize watercolor Duxbury Annual Art Show.
Her subject matter encompasses portraiture, organic still life,
seascapes/landscapes and abstracts. Ms. Jonas has taught at “The
Beacon Hill Seminars” in Boston; The Duxbury Art Center; Pinehills,
Ma; Pinehills, Plymouth; The Bellas Artes (National Art Center) and
Jonas Art Studio in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
