About the Artist: I am primarily a studio-based artist and I work by surrounding myself with lots of stimuli such as photos, newspaper clippings, art books, found objects, music, etc.  Whether the painting is representational or not, there’s usually one thing in particular that I’m drawn to and focus on for a painting and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a person or place that I know, just a certain something that catches my attention.  Although I started out as an oil painter, I switched to acrylic paint about 10 years ago.
I received a BA in Fine Arts from Brandeis University and have pursued post-graduate studies at Brandeis, Boston University and the Museum School in Boston.
